ADA, Ohio – Jordan Lilley (Jamestown, Ohio/Greeneview) gave the Thiel men's soccer team an early lead Saturday over the Defiance Yellow Jackets. However, Defiance went on to score three unanswered goals and earned a 3-1 non-conference victory over Thiel.

Lilley's goal came 15:38 into the contest on a deft pass from Dominic Walker (Kent, Ohio/Field), who drove to the cage before sending off the short cross pass.

Thiel continued to lead 1-0 at halftime, but Cody Festge, Josiah Nichols and Jordan Drake each scored a goal for Defiance in the second half.

Trey Roller (Girard, Ohio/Ursuline) made eight saves for the Tomcats in 90 minutes of work. Damian Koester made one save for the Yellow Jackets.

Thiel will host Hilbert on Tuesday at Alumni Stadium. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
