WOOSTER. Ohio – The Thiel College women's volleyball team fell three sets to none (19-25, 26-28, 8-25) to the College of Wooster Fighting Scots in their 2015 season opener, Tuesday night.

Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) led the Tomcat attack with eight kills while Danielle Gomula (Northfield, Ohio/Trinity) and Bailey Holmes (Roaming Shores, Ohio/Grand Valley) each racked up four kills in the loss. Jenny Shelley (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) dished out 17 assists while Ashley Baer (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) recorded 14 digs.

Savannah Moore had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs for the Fighting Scots.

Thiel (0-1) will be back in action this weekend at the River City Volleyball Tournament. Thiel will face host Marietta College at 7:30 on Friday, Sept. 4.
