GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team cruised to a three set (25-11, 25-22, 25-13) victory over the Cairn University Highlanders in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) contest Friday night inside Beeghly Gymnasium.
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton), who had nine kills on 12 swings, led the Tomcat attack. Lasher also assisted three blocks.
Cody Patterson (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) had seven kills on 15 attempts while
Michael Whitelock (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley) had six kills and five blocks (one solo, four assists).
Also for Thiel,
Regan Hess (Burlington, Wis./Wetosha Central) had five service aces and three block assists.
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) had five blocks (two solo, three assists) and assisted on 10 attacks.
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had 13 assists and eight digs.
Micah Godshall, Josiah Buss, Ryan Garven each had four kills for the Highlanders.
The Tomcats (9-9, 2-4 CVC) will face the Juniata Eagles on Tuesday, March 17 in a CVC game from postponement on March 3.
