GREENVILLE, Pa. – Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) scored six goals Thursday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel College women's lacrosse team which suffered an 18-15 loss to the Allegheny Gators at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
 
In addition to her six goals, Mahdi also tallied two assists to finish the game with eight points. Also for Thiel, Jenna Simanovsky (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) and Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) each contributed three goals and an assist while Jennifer Rickens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) finished with three points (2G, 1A).
 
Shelby Piper led the Gators with five goals and three assists.
 
Abby Spriggs (Westminster, Md./Westminster) made seven saves for the Tomcats. Christina Perez and Kaelin Clogan combined for six saves for the Gators.
 
Thiel (2-1) will host Defiance Saturday at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome Saturday at 2 p.m.
