GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team rolled over Defiance College 19-5 in a Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) contest inside the Rissell-Schreyer Dome Saturday.

Seniors Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) and Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) each recorded six points in the win. Both players scored five goals and had an assist. Mahdi had seven ground balls and three caused turnovers

Also for Thiel, Jenna Simanovsky (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) scored four goals on four shots. Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD) assisted on four goals, while Hannah Stelmach (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) assisted on two goals and added a goal. Jennifer Rickens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) had two goals for the Tomcats. Amy Boxer (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) earned the win in the crease.

The Tomcats (3-1, 2-0 ORLC) will end their five game season-opening home stand on Tuesday, March 10 as they take on the Frostburg State Bobcats.
