GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team suffered a five set (22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 9-15) loss to the visiting Eastern Mennonite University Royals in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) match-up Friday night.
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton) and 
Michael Whitelock (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley) each had double-digit kills with 14 and 11 kills respectively. Both players each assisted on four blocks, while Whitelock added a block solo.
Also for Thiel, 
Alex Ciepiela (Marilla, N.Y./Iroquios Central) had eight kills and dug out 12 EMU attacks. 
Colin Vitale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) had a game-high 22 digs. 
Eric Mallinger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) had eight total blocks (two solo, six assists). 
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) and 
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) assisted on 22 and 14 Tomcat attacks respectively.
Scott Brigham had a double-double with 25 kills and 17 digs for the Royals.
The Tomcats (9-11, 3-6 CVC) will be back in action on Tuesday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. to play Penn State-Altoona in a make-up game from March 4
th.
