GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team suffered a 15-5 non-conference loss Tuesday to the Mount Union Purple Raiders at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) paced the Tomcats with three goals, two of which came on free position shots.
Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) and
Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD) also scored one goal apiece for Thiel.
Taylor Pensyl led Mount Union with a game-best four goals while Marjie McNamara scored three goals.
Nikki Bonaduce made four saves and earned the win for the Purple Raiders.
Abby Spriggs (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and
Amy Boxer (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) combined for seven saves for the Tomcats.
Thiel (3-3, 2-0 ORLC) will travel to Lexington, Ky. Friday to take on Transylvania University at 4 p.m.
