GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team were unable to defeat the No.4 ranked Juniata College Eagle 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-18) in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) matchup Tuesday.
John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) led the Tomcat attack with eight kills and also dug out eight Eagle attacks.
Michael Whitelock (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley) had seven kills on 13 attacks and also added a block solo and three block assists.
Colin Vitale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) had 11 digs while
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had 23 assists for the Tomcats.
Paul Kuhn (12) and Joe Bortak (10) recorded double-digit kills for Juniata.
The Tomcats (5-6, 0-1 CVC) will return to action Friday, February 13 at 7 p.m. when they take on the Marymount University Saints at Beeghly Gymnasium.
