GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team cruised to a 73-56 victory over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents in a Presidents' Athletic Conference contest Tuesday night at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Three players paced the Tomcat offense, recording double-digit points.
Luke Kochka (Monroeville, Pa. /Gateway) led the Tomcats with a team-high 16 points, knocking down five shots, including four from behind the three-point arc. Kochka also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and six assists.
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) also scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field while
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots off the bench.
Khari Bess (Waldorf, Md./Maurice J. McDonough) and
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) each notched nine points and three steals respectively. Burton dished out six assists while Bess had four assists.
Brian Graytok led the Presidents with 19 points.
The Tomcats shot 46 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Presidents 43-36.
The Tomcats (4-5, 2-1 PAC) will next take on the Division II Edinboro University Fighting Scots. Tip off from the McComb Fieldhouse is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
