Radke records three touchdowns against Carnegie Mellon

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats suffered a 73-19 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) defeat to the Carnegie Mellon Tartans Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
 
Ryan Radke (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster Central) figured in three touchdowns for the Tomcats. Radke threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns. Radke connected with Cody Dinger (Girard, Pa./Girard) in the first quarter for a 14-yard touchdown. Radke and Ron Howard (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) connected on an 11-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
 
Radke also led the Tomcats on the ground with 60 yards. He scored a touchdown on a two-yard run in the third quarter.
 
Ryan Rowland (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington) led Thiel with four catches for 76 yards. Howard caught six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Dinger and Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's ) each reeled in three catches.
 
Defensively, Jeremy Steffine (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) notched nine tackles while Jake Elk (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) had eight tackles, including two tackles for loss, and an interception.
 
For the Tartans, Sam Benger ran for 166 yards on 24 carries and scored three touchdowns.
 
The Tomcats will travel to Washington, Pa., to take on the W&J Presidents on Sat. Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m.
