GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team suffered a 6-1 loss to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Bobcats Thursday night at Alumni Stadium.

Senior Troy Elsea (Fowler, Ohio/Badger) knocked in the lone Tomcat goal off of a header from freshman Dugan Paxton (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) in the 20th minute. It was Elsea's team-leading seventh marker of the 2014 campaign. Sophomore goalkeeper Dalton Young (Salem, Ohio/West Branch) had four saves in a half of action for the Tomcats.

Jeremy Niemiec scored a hat trick for the Bobcats while Brandon Malloy notched two goals of his own.

The Tomcats will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Alliance, Ohio to take on the University of Mount Union Purple Raiders. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
