Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) scored four goals Wednesday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel women's lacrosse team in a 17-7 road loss to the Mount Union Purple Raiders.
 
Mahdi put the Tomcats up 1-0 when she scored five minutes into the contest, but the Purple Raiders rattled off five straight goals and never looked back.
 
Mahdi scored four goals for the Tomcats while Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) notched two markers. Susie Kraus led the Purple Raiders with eight points (4G, 4A).
 
Thiel goalie Abby Spriggs (Westminster, Md./Westminster) made five saves in the loss.
 
The Tomcats (5-6) will return to action Sunday when they host the Wittenberg Tigers. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
