Box Score STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD) scored four goals Thursday, leading the Thiel women's lacrosse team to a 16-3 win over the Franciscan Lady Barons.
 
Martin gave the Tomcats an early lead when she scored less than three minutes after the opening draw. The Lady Barons tied up the game roughly one minute later on Tracy Tracy McClelland's marker.
 
The rest of the first belonged to the Tomcats, who scored 11 straight goals to hold a commanding lead at the half.
 
Martin led Thiel with four goals while Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) tallied six points (3G, 3A). Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) also scored three goals while Hannah Stelmach (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) notched two markers.
 
Also for the Tomcats, Heather Reichenback (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) and Rachel Hutchinson (Erie, Pa./Fairview) each scored their first career goals in the win.
 
Amy Boxer (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) and Abby Spriggs (Westminster, Md./Westminster) combined for six saves with Boxer earning her fifth win of the season.
 
Thiel (6-7) will travel to Defiance, Ohio, Saturday to take on the Yellow Jackets at 10 a.m.
