ASHLAND, Ohio – The Thiel College men's basketball was defeated by the Division II Ashland University Eagles 91-49 Monday night.
Freshmen
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) and
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) each scored seven points for Thiel. Cetoute also added four blocks.
Berto Dryden (Woodstock, Ga./Whitefield Academy) and
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) each chipped in five points off the bench.
Three players scored double digits for the Eagles led by Paul Honigford, who had 20 points.
The Tomcats will return to action after Thanksgiving break when they open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Wednesday, Dec. 3 on the road against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
