GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team were defeated by the Geneva Golden Tornadoes in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-20) Thursday night.
Senior
Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) led the Tomcat attack with match-high 12 kills and three service aces. Hall also dug out 18 attacks to earn her ninth double-double of the season.
Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) and
Kristin Gaut (Navarre, Ohio/Fairless) each had eight kills while
Lauren Downs (Mentor, OH/Mentor) dug out 21 shots.
Sophomore setter
Jenny Shelley (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) handed out 35 assists and added 11 digs to earn her tenth double-double of the season.
Erica Hughes had nine kills and Rachel Netherland had 27 assists for Geneva.
The Tomcats (12-16, 9-8 PAC) will wrap up their regular season on the road Saturday, Nov. 1 when they take on the Grove City Wolverines. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
