Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. – The Thiel College softball team lost a pair of games Monday at the NTC Spring Games including an 8-7 heartbreaker to Lebanon Valley College.

Thiel jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings against Lebanon Valley College and held a 7-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Dutchmen responded with five runs in the bottom of the fifth, then went on to outdistance the Tomcats 3-0 over the final two innings to earn the 8-7 victory.

Ashley Dolan (Export, Pa./Franklin Regional) and Ashley Rable (Warren, Ohio/Champion) led the Tomcats with three hits apiece while Danielle Massengill (North Bend, Wash./Mt. Si), Morgan White (Warren, Ohio/Champion) and Amanda Callahan (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown Fitch) each recorded two hits apiece.

Earlier in the day the Tomcats suffered a 19-1 (5 inn.) setback to Moravian College.  White paced the Tomcats in the loss when she roped an RBI-double in the fourth inning.

The Tomcats (0-4) will return to action in the NTC Spring Games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla. Wednesday when they face Muhlenberg College at 9 a.m. The Tomcats will also play Misericorida University Wednesday at 11 a.m.
