Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – Four Tomcats scored three goals or more Wednesday to lead the Thiel College women's lacrosse team to a 17-2 win over the Hiram College Terriers at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Thiel improved to 5-6 on the season with the win, matching last season's win total. The win also extended Thiel's winning streak to three games, matching the longest winning streak in the young program's history.
Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD) led the Tomcats Wednesday with four goals and two assists (6 points) while
Kelley Bellia (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) scored three goals and added two assists (5 points).
Kenady Hubbard (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada/Moon Area) and
Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) also scored three goals apiece in the win.
Kate Valaitis and Hannah Schaefer led the Terriers with a goal apiece.
Asia Wallace (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) earned the win in 30 minutes of work. She made four saves in the first half.
The Tomcats (5-6) will return to action Saturday when they host the W&J Presidents at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The contest is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
