Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Tomcat women's lacrosse squad earned their fourth win of the season as they defeated the Hawks of Hilbert College by a score of 20-3 on Saturday.
Three Tomcats tied for the team-high in goals scored, as Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall), Kelley Bellia (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) and Beth Snider (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) each scored four goals. Snider added a pair of assists to give her 13 points in the past two contests and 32 on the season. They were joined by two-goal days from
Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel) and Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD). Mahdi also recorded a team-best four assists in the win, giving her 11 assists on the season. A trio of Tomcats chipped in a goal apiece, as
Kenady Hubbard (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada/Moon Area),
Hannah Stelmach (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin),
Amanda Baur (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra) and
Jenna Simanovsky (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) all found the back of the net. It is the first goal of the season for Simanovsky, and the fourth goal in two games for Hubbard.
Thiel jumped on the board first in the first half as Martin notched her first goal of the game to give Thiel the quick 1-0 lead at the 27:43 mark. Bellia followed that by scoring just 23 seconds later to make it 2-0 Tomcats. Hilbert got on the scoreboard six minutes later to bring the score to 2-1 with 21:27 left.
The Tomcats responded with 10 unanswered goals, a scoring streak that spanned until the Hawks scored with 27:05 left in the second half to make it 12-2.
Thiel did not look back as they continued to pour on the goals in the second half, outscoring the Hawks 8-1 the rest of the half to give Thiel a tie for its highest goal total of the season, a mark they set just five days earlier in a 20-0 win over Franciscan.

Amy Boxer (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) picked up her first win of the season in the net for the Tomcats, making one save and allowing just one goal.
Thiel returns to action on March 27 when they travel to Hiram, Ohio to take on the Hiram Terriers. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
