Box Score WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team fell 7-0 to the first-place Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon.
The Jackets (9-1-1), who out-shot the Tomcats (5-8) by a 25-14 margin, took a 2-0 lead into halftime before pouring on five goals in the final 45 minutes of play. Freshman
Kent Baughman (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led the Tomcat attack with two shots, while senior
Andrew Hindman (Dunedin, Fla./Dunedin) got the start in net. Hindman stopped seven shots during his 70 minutes of action.
Waynesburg's Zack Benedict had a pair of goals in the victory.
The Tomcats will look for more positive results on Wednesday, Oct. 16, when they host Westminster College at 8:30 p.m.
