GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team (1-1, 0-0 PAC) picked up its first win of the 2012 campaign Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Mount Aloysius.
Francis Ahia (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) put the Tomcats up 1-0 at the 17:07 mark of the first half. Bain Nathan evened the score minutes later for Mount Aloysius, but the Tomcats reclaimed the lead before the half on
Rory Duncan (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon)'s goal.
In the second half, Ahia pushed Thiel's lead to 3-1 when he scored his second goal of the contest with a little over 12 minutes remaining in regulation.
Junior goalkeeper
Andrew Hindman (Dunedin, Fla./Dunedin) made three saves to earn his first win of the season.
The Tomcats will look to win their second straight game Thursday when they travel to take on Penn State Beaver. The game is set for a 6 p.m. start.
