GREENVILLE, Pa. – Kyle Troutman scored two goals Sunday at Alumni Stadium to lead the Thomas More Saints to a 5-1 victory Sunday over the Thiel Tomcats.
 
Troutman scored his first marker 4:15 into the first half to give the Saints an early lead. Troutman also figured in on Thomas More's second goal when he assisted on Dexter Morgan's marker at the 6:16 mark.
 
Thiel cut Thomas More's lead in half when Tyler Hanks (Cleveland, Ohio/Olmstead Falls) set up Rory Duncan (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) with a goal with a little less than 30 minutes remaining in the first half. The Saints reclaimed their 2-goal lead, however, before halftime on Jake Plummer's goal that was scored on a free kick.
 
Troutman and Bruce Berkay added goals for the Saints (6-2-3, 1-0 PAC) in the second half.
 
Andrew Hindman (Dunedin, Fla./Dunedin) made three saves for Thiel while Matt Kees stopped three shots for Thomas More.
 
The Tomcats (4-6-1, 0-1 PAC) will try to get back on track Tuesday when they host the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
