GREENVILLE, Pa. – It was a play that started off poorly, but ended as well as could have been expected. At Thiel College, it has simply been dubbed The Play.
 
Cody McClelland (Sarver, Pa./Freeport)'s 22-yard field attempt turned 5-yard touchdown pass to Berend Grube (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.), which gave the Thiel Tomcats a 21-14 overtime win over the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes, was named the Play of the Week Tuesday by www.D3Football.com.
 
The Play helped the Tomcats end a 24-game losing streak.
 
Thiel (1-2, 1-0 PAC) will host Washington & Jefferson (2-1, 1-0 PAC) Saturday at Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
