Men's Soccer falls to Bulldogs, 4-1

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Tomcat men's soccer team fell 4-1 to Adrian College on Saturday at the Greenville Soccer Complex.

It took just three minutes into the first half for the Bulldogs to register their first goal of the contest as Riley Jackson connected unassisted for the 1-0 lead. Adrian notched their second goal of the half three minutes later when Nick Minshall scored to make it 2-0. The Bulldogs added a third unanswered goal, when Jackson again found the back of the net on a pass from Ryan McCarthy.

At the end of the half, the Bulldogs were called for a penalty in the goal box, resulting in the first penalty kick of the season for the Tomcats. Luke Mesing (Freedom, Pa./Freedom ) nailed it in the back of the net to make the score 3-1 heading into the half.

In the second half of play, Minshall once again found the back of the net to give Muskingum the 4-1 victory.

Despite giving up four goals, junior keeper Ethan Bayne (Palma Ceia, Fla./H.B. Plant) made four saves on the day.

Thiel will be back in action tomorrow to close out the Thiel Soccer Invitational, as they take on Medaille at 2 p.m.
