GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Tomcat women's lacrosse team fell to Alfred University 17-14 Tuesday evening at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
 
The Tomcats (3-6) would score the first goal of the game when Jenna Simanovsky (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) converted on a Carley Cobb assist. Both teams battled back and forth in the first half with Saxons leading 9-7 at the break.
 
 Leaders for the Tomcats were Cassy Mahdi (Odenton, Md./Arundel), who scored four goals and had an assist in the loss. Emily Harrigan (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) added three goals while Simanovsky and Sharr Martin (San Diego, Calif./The Preuss School UCSD) each added two goals
 
Kaitlyn Button paced Alfred with six goals while Ali Garcia chipped in with five.
 
The Tomcats will return to action on Tuesday, April 10 at home against Medaille College (6 p.m.)
