NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The men's soccer team was dealt a 1-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss Tuesday evening by host Westminster College.
David Osae took a pass from Ethan McCarthy and beat Thiel goalkeeper Joe Iorio in the 62nd minute (62:59) of action to break the 0-0 deadlock and secured the Titans a win on their senior day.
Westminster (11-4-2, 5-1-1) totaled a 14-8 advantage in shots and finished with a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
McCarthy totaled four shots the Titans while Austin Ewers finished with three shots of his own. The Titans' Adam Kephart made two stops in goal.
Thiel (4-11-2, 0-6-1) keeper
Joe Iorio corralled six saves in the loss.
Jeff Swanson (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) took three shots while Luke Mesing (Freedom, Pa./Freedom ) took two of his own.
The Tomcats will close out their season on Saturday, Oct. 27 when they travel to Beaver Falls to take on Geneva. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
