GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats and Waynesburg Yellow Jackets played to a scoreless double-overtime tie Tuesday at Alumni Stadium.
Midfielder
Tyler Strite (Fayetteville, Pa./Shalom Christian) made a key last-second save for the Tomcats with 22 minutes remaining in regulation when he slid and kicked the ball away from the goal line to keep the game scoreless.
Ethan Bayne (Palma Ceia, Fla./H.B. Plant) also made a key save for the Tomcats with 1:10 remaining in overtime. Bayne recorded four saves on the day while Brandon Daughtry made three stops for the Yellow Jackets.

Ryan Doherty (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) and
Rory Duncan (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) each took one shot for the Tomcats with less than a minute remaining in double-overtime, but all three shots failed to find the back of the net.
Duncan and
Francis Ahia (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) led Thiel with three shots apiece. Victor Browne took three shots for Waynesburg.
Thiel's record now stands at 4-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the PAC. Waynesburg is 5-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the PAC.
The Tomcats will travel to Bethany, W.Va., Saturday to take on the Bison. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.
