NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Tomcat men's soccer team fell 4-0 to Muskingum University on Monday evening in New Concord, Ohio.
It took just five minutes into the first half for the Muskies to register their first goal of the contest as Zane Satterfield connected unassisted for the 1-0 lead. Muskingum notched their second goal of the half 20 minutes later when Cam Jonard scored on a penalty kick to put the Muskies up 2-0 heading into the half.
In the second half of play, both Satterfield and Jonard added their second goals of the contest; Satterfield in the 81
st minute and Jonard in the 89
th minute of play to give Muskingum the 4-0 victory.
Despite giving up four goals, sophomore keeper
Andrew Hindman (Dunedin, Fla./Dunedin) made 12 saves on the day.
Thiel will be back in action as they open Presidents' Athletic Conference play against the defending PAC champion, Thomas More College. The contest in Crestview Hills, Ky. is scheduled to immediately follow the women's contest which begins at 1 p.m.
