ERIE, Pa. — Thiel's
Brad Schell (Linesville, Pa./Conneaut) went 1-1 at sixth singles on the first day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championships and will play for third place when play resumes Saturday.
Schell, the fourth seed, advanced to the semifinals with a 7-5, 6-1 win over fifth-seeded Brian Felker of Washington & Jefferson. He was defeated 6-1, 6-4 by Grove City's top-seeded Stephen Harrison, dropping him into the consolation final match, where he will take on second-seeded Brad Thomas of Westminster.

Jian Long Zheng (Fujian, China/Quanzhou ZianDi ),
