WASHINGTON, Pa. (March 30) -- The Thiel College Men's Tennis team dropped a 6-1 road clash with Washington and Jefferson College Monday evening from Janet Swanson Tennis Center in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
The Tomcats dip to 0-9 (0-5) while the Presidents rise to 4-7 (4-0).
Tyrus Horton (Fuquay Varina, N.C./Athens Drive) collected his third win of the spring at No. 1 singles with 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 triumph over Jacob Bennet.
Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) took a pair of games in each set at No. 2 singles, but fell 6-2, 6-2.
Trey Grazier (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) took three games in set one at No. 3 singles but was dropped in straight sets.
Thiel is back in action Thursday, April 9 for a home PAC clash with Saint Vincent.
