PITTSBURGH — Thiel allowed a quick goal early, but rallied with three unanswered goals to top La Roche in a non-conference men's soccer match.

The Redhawks (0-4) took a quick 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal by Diven Mitchel just five minutes into the game.

The Tomcats (2-3) responded with two goals in a five-minute span in the first half and a third goal in the second half. The game-tying goal came in the 25th minute with Rory Duncan (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) scoring his team-leading third goal of the season. The freshman has tallied eight points in five games.

Luke Mesing (Freedom, Pa./Freedom ), who assisted on Duncan's goal, netted the go-head score five minutes later with an assist from Francis Ahia (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills). Jared Wilcox (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) scored an unassisted goal in the 75th minute to complete the scoring.

The Tomcats will host Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
