BETHANY, WV (May 7, 2010) -- The Thiel College softball team was eliminated from the PAC Tournament on Friday, after being shutout, 8-0, in their game against the Westminster Titans.

The Tomcats struggled both offensively and defensively, commiting a season-high seven errors, while amassing just two hits.  The Titans went on to tally 12 hits, to go along with their eight runs.

Despite the loss, the Tomcats are ending the 2010 campaign tied with the 1999 team for wins in a season at 19.

And, on an individual note, junior pitcher Emily Batiz (Leechburg, Pa./Leechburg Area) became Thiel College's all-time leader in career strikeouts with 226.
