GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College senior linebacker Bobby Shew (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II Football Second Team, the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Wednesday afternoon.

Shew is a business administration major. He has been named to the Dean's List six times and is a three-time Presidents' Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll selection.

He is s three-year starter for the Tomcats. He is currently second on the team in tackles (44), tackles for loss (10 and sacks (4). Shew's 10 tackles for loss are also tied for 10th in the conference while his four sacks are tied for 12th.

The District II College Division consists of all non-NCAA Division I colleges and universities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. To be nominated for the program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve.
