TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 20) -- Thiel College senior linebacker
Jake Badger (Mercer, Pa./Mercer Area) and graduate running back
Deon Logan (Richmond, Va./James River) were named Honorable Mention All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), as announced during the PAC Football Awards Show on the PAC Sports Network Thursday evening.
The All-PAC honor is the first in Badger's career. He finished second on the team and 17th in the PAC in total tackles (69). Badger, a team captain in 2025, recorded 4.5 tackles for loss while breaking up a pair of passes and logging an interception, fumble recovery and QB hit each.
Badger was named the PAC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3 following Thiel's 48-20 win over Hiram. He totaled a team-best eight tackles (five solo), scored his first career touchdown and had a hand in two turnovers in the win. One of his tackles stopped a Hiram receiver on the 1-yard line on the final play of the first half and kept Thiel in front 21-14 at halftime. Badger's 49-yard scoop-and-score in the third quarter increased the Tomcats' lead to 28-14 and then his first interception of the season late in the third stopped a Hiram drive in Thiel territory.
Logan, Thiel's offensive captain in 2025, was an Honorable Mention pick as well in 2024. He led the team and was ninth in the conference in rushing yards per game (3.2). He logged 525 yards rushing for the season and led the Blue and Gold with eight touchdowns, six of which came on the ground. He had a trio of 100-plus yard rushing efforts on the season.
Logan broke free for an 85-yard touchdown run against Waynesburg in week 4, breaking Ron Leuschen's 44-year program-record run of 83 yards at Case Western Reserve on Sept. 26, 1981. Logan concluded his time in Greenville tenth in points (102), tied for 10th in rushing scores (13) and eighth in rushing attempts (471)
Football finished the season 1-9 (1-7) with a win at Hiram in week nine.Â
