GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Thiel College men's soccer team fell to Presidents' Athletic Conference Rival Grove City 4-0 Tuesday afternoon in Grove City.

The Wolverines jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Adam Brewer scored just 56 seconds into the game off a pass by Jake Kern.

Austin Bernal would add one more goal in the first half in the 29th minute as he beat senior keeper Tom Lange (Poland, Ohio/Poland Seminary) to make the score 2-0. Neither team would score the rest of the half and the Tomcats entered the locker room trailing by two goals.

The second half was more of the same for the Tomcats as Grove City was able to add two more goals. The first coming in the 58th minute off the foot of Chuck Witt and the second coming just 1 minute later as Evan Moore was able to net an unassisted goal to make the final score 4-0.

Thiel, who falls to .500 in conference play (6-7; 1-1 PAC), was out-shot in the game by a total of 21-3.

The Tomcats will be back in action on Sunday when they will play Thomas More College. The game in Greenville is scheduled for 3 p.m.
