Alfred, NY (September 5, 2009) -- The Thiel College men's soccer team dropped their first game of the season, 1-5, to the Wildcats of Cazenovia College on Saturday.

Within the first half hour of the game, the Wildcats jumped out the gates, scoring three unanswered goals.  

It wouldn't be until the next half  that the Tomcats would answer in the form of a Hayes Smith (Winchester, Va./Sherando) (Winchester, Va./Sherando) unassisted goal.  But, even that glimmer of light proved to be too little, too late as Cazenovia scored two more goals to finish the men of Thiel off.

The Tomcats return to action Sunday, September 6 for a  1 p.m. match up against the Alfred University Saxons.
