Beaver, Pa. (September 4, 2009) -- The Thiel College men's soccer team picked up their second victory in as many games, defeating Penn. State Beaver 3-0 on Thursday.

A little over thirty seconds into the contest the Tomcats struck first with a Stephen Melfi (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) (Aurora, Pa./Aurora) goal off a Chad Swisher (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance)(Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) assist.  Junior newcomer, Derek Workman (Valencia, Pa./Mars) (Valencia, Pa./Mars), preceded to shut the door on Beaver with two goals off Swisher and Savian Rosario (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) assists, respectively.  

The Tomcat men return to action Saturday, Sept. 5 when they head to Cazenovia, NY to face the Cazenovia College Wildcats.
