Glass and the Tomcats Battle to a Draw Against Mount Union.

GREENVILLE, PA. (September 28, 2008) -- Freshman Robert Glass (Greenville/Greenville)' netted two second half goals helping the Tomcat's come to a 2-2 draw with Mount Union on Saturday.

After Mount Union's Tommie McBride kicked in his second goal of the day just before the 86 minute mark things seemed to be all but over for the visiting Thiel men's soccer team.  The score was now 0-2 in the Purple Raiders favor as the clock continued to roll.

That was until senior forward Robert Glass (Greenville/Greenville) (Greenville/Greenville) scored two unassisted goals in less than a minute bringing the score to 2-2.  These two clutch goals by Glass pushed the game into extended play where both defenses seemed to tightened up.

Over the next 20 minutes of overtime play the Tomcats and the Purple Raiders didn't give up an inch as they dueled to a 2-2 draw.

The men return home Thursday Oct. 2 to face Mount Aloysius College at 3 p.m.
