Greenville, Pa. (October 18, 2008) -- The Thiel College men's soccer team (5-9-2, 1-3 PAC) picked up their first conference victory after shutting out the visiting Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets (5-9-1, 0-2-1 PAC) 2-0 on Saturday.

Senior forward, Robert Glass (Greenville/Greenville) (Greenville/Greenville), kicked things off for the Tomcat's after scoring his sixth goal off a Chad Swisher (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance)pass to put Thiel up 1-0, then swisher followed suite by knocking in his fifth goal of the season on a free kick.  Junior goalkeeper, David Rafle (Edinboro/General McClane) (Edinboro/General McLane), picked up his second shut out of the year after tallying six saves in all 90 minutes of action.

The men's soccer team returns home when the Washington & Jefferson Presidents come to Alumni Stadium Wednesday, Oct. 22 for a 3 p.m. matchup.
