Caryn Sibiskie enters her first season as Thiel College’s assistant women’s volleyball coach in 2019.
Sibiskie earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in elementary education from Eastern Connecticut State University, where she earned four varsity letters as a member of the volleyball team.
The Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors compete at the NCAA Division III level and are a member of the Little East Conference (LEC).
A native of Rockfall, Conn., Sibiskie was a middle hitter for the Warriors. She recorded 331 kills and 50 service aces during her collegiate career and was part of a Warriors team that won the LEC title in 2018 and qualified for the NCAA tournament.
A six-semester Dean’s List student, Sibiskie qualified for the LEC Academic Honor Roll three times during her career. She earned Eastern Connecticut State University Outstanding Scholar-Athlete honors in 2019 and 2017. Sibiskie also held a student managerial role with the Warriors volleyball team in 2017 where she gained experience in recruiting, as well as planning practices.
Sibiskie served as an intern at Coventry Public Schools in 2018-19. In this role, she worked as a substitute for grades three through five at George H. Robertson Intermediate School. She also served as a U17 head volleyball coach at Elevation Volleyball Academy the last four years.
