Tim Priskey enters his sixth year as head coach of the women’s lacrosse team in 2021-2022.
In his first season as head coach, the Tomcats saw immediate improvement winning two more games from a season ago and having three members named to All-ORLC teams. The Tomcats kept improving, winning six games in 2018 and eight in 2019, the most wins in a season since 2015. In 2020, the Tomcats finished 7-3, including 4-2 in conference play, and won in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament semifinals to earn their first PAC Championship berth under Priskey.
In 2021, the Tomcats had four players earn All-PAC honors and two earn an honorable mention. Senior Mackenzie Quinn and freshman Ashlyn Wightman earned First Team honors. Mackenzie Quinn started as a freshman under Priskey in his first season and graduated second in program history in goals (203) and third in points (239). In 2019, the Tomcats had two players earn All-PAC honors and one earn an honorable mention, including senior Paige Scherer who earned First Team honors. Scherer was under the tutelage of Priskey for three seasons and is fourth in program history in points (180), goals (150), and groundballs (153) and fifth in assists (30).
Priskey returned to Thiel in 2016 after a two-year stint as the head coach of the men’s lacrosse team at fellow PAC institution Bethany College.
Prior to taking over the Bethany program, Priskey was a two-year assistant coach for the Thiel men’s lacrosse program.
Priskey performed a litany of tasks, including the recruitment of new student-athletes and retention of current players, aid in the implementation of practice and game plans, working with video editing software, and overseeing the development of the Tomcat goalkeepers while running the defensive unit.
A 2010 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University, Priskey was a four-year member of the Cardinals lacrosse program. Priskey served as the goalkeeper coach at his alma mater, De La Salle Collegiate High School (Warren, Mich.), during the 2011 season.
