Sheldon Loughner is entering his first season as an assistant with the Tomcats. He will coach the team’s wide receivers in 2014.
A 2011 Saint Vincent College graduate, Loughner was a record-setting tight end and receiver for the Bearcats. Loughner is on multiple modern day Saint Vincent receiving lists. In modern day history, he is the program’s career leader in receiving touchdowns (16) and yards per catch (18.5).
Loughner was a senior captain in 2010 when he caught a modern day single-season best 16 touchdown passes and went on to be named an All-PAC first team selection. Loughner was Saint Vincent’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior and played in the All-American Bowl.
Loughner recently worked for Krossover Intelligence, Inc., a company headquartered in New York City that specializes in game film breakdown and statistical analysis. He also recently served as a junior high assistant football coach at Immaculate Heart Central High School in Watertown, N.Y.
Upon graduating from Saint Vincent, Loughner served as a patient information coordinator at UPMC Center for Sports Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pa., for two years.
