Former Thiel football player Mike Donato will return to coach the team’s linebackers in 2015.
Prior to coaching at Thiel, he served on the coaching staff at Westminser College. He brings more than 20 years of high school coaching experience with him. He was the head coach at Kennedy Catholic from 2003-06 and served as an assistant coach at Sharon High School, his alma mater, for nearly 20 years.
Donato was a three-time All-PAC First Team selection at linebacker for the Tomcats (1966-68) and was recently named to the PAC 60th Anniversary Team.
Donato and his wife, Karen, reside in Sharon, Pa. The couple has two children and five grandchildren.
