Matt Schneider will serve as Thiel’s offensive line coach in 2019.
Schneider has served in a variety of assistant coach roles, most recently as assistant head coach with the Sharon tigers for the last 20 years. A Sharon High School Graduate, he was a member of the Westminster College (Pa.) football team, which won the NAIA Division II National Championship in 1994.
Schneider was a four-year letter-winner and started every game during his collegiate career at Bethany College (W.Va.). He was a three-time All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) honorable mention selection (1996-98).
Schneider’s father, Dan, was a captain on Thiel’s 1972 PAC Championship team and was inducted into the Thiel College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. Schneider’s mother, Sheila, is also a Thiel graduate.
