Devante Sims is entering his first season in 2016-17 as Thiel College’s cornerbacks coach.
Sims was a three-year starter at cornerback for the NCAA Division II Lake Erie College Storm. In 2014, he finished fifth on the team with 54 tackles while breaking up eight passes and forcing two fumbles. In 2015, Sims competed in the National Bowl in Miami, Fla., and attended an NFL Regional Combine in Davie, Fla.
Sims earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Lake Erie College in 2014. He previously worked for the National Scouting Report (NSR) and volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club of America in Fort Myers, Fla.
