Darricle Jones was hired in April 2022 to serve as Thiel's tight ends coach.
Jones served as the tight ends coach at Madonna University in 2021. He graduated from Concordia University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications in 2018 and received a master’s degree in management from the University of Michigan in 2019.
Jones played all five offensive line positions and started 22 games at Concordia. In his senior season, Jones was named a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-American and a Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League First Team offensive lineman. He was also named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. In his junior season, Jones was named a MSFA Honorable Mention offensive lineman and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
Jones returned to Concordia as an assistant offensive line coach in 2019. The Cardinals went 8-3 that season and made an NAIA playoff appearance. He served as the offensive line coach at Ann Arbor Huron High School in 2020 where he mentored a first team all-conference center and helped guide the team to its first playoff win in more than 20 years.
