Darrell Satterfield ’06 was named Thiel’s offensive coordinator in August 2015.
Satterfield is entering his seventh season as an assistant coach with the Tomcats and his fourth season in charge of the quarterbacks after serving as the team’s wide receivers coach for three seasons.
Satterfield will continue to mentor Ryan Radke, as well as a talented group of underclassmen signal-callers in 2016. Equally dangerous with his feet and his arm, Radke has racked up 6,108 career yards in total offense, the most in Thiel history. Radke has also totaled 4,213 passing yards and 1,895 rushing yards to rank fourth and seventh in program history, respectively.
A two-time All-PAC quarterback with the Tomcats, Satterfield played a starring role for the 2005 team, which won the PAC title with a perfect 10-0 regular season record and qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Satterfield is Thiel’s career record holder in both passing touchdowns (42) and pass completion percentage (58.4). He also ranks second in pass efficiency rating (138.3) and third in passing yards (4,870) and passing completions (375).
