Koval was hired in January of 2021 to serve as the wide receivers coach.
A native of Hershey, Pa., Koval played quarterback at Widener University from 2015-18. Koval graduated from Widener in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business management with a focus on sports management.
Koval got his start in coaching as Widener's offensive quality control and assistant quarterbacks coach during the 2019 season. Widener led the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) in total offense, scoring offense, and passing offense in 2019. Under Koval's tutelage, Widener quarterback Sean McGaughey led the MAC in passing yards and touchdowns and was named an Academic All-Area Performer of the Year by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
