Sante Carducci is entering his second season as the assistant baseball coach in 2023.
A Toronto, Ohio native, Carducci was a pitcher for the Thiel baseball team for four years, from 2018-2021 and was one of the team’s captains in his junior and senior years in 2020 and 2021. In 2019, Carducci earned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) honors, while leading the team with a 3.27 ERA, 74.1 innings pitched, and four wins. As a freshman in 2018, Carducci appeared in 17 games and led the team with a 4.34 ERA. He finished his Thiel career with eight wins and 93 strikeouts.
Carducci graduated from Thiel in May with a degree in exercise science. He held a 3.65 grade-point average and was a member of the Thiel College Exercise Science Club and president of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society. He is pursuing a master’s degree in applied exercise science with a focus in performance enhancement/injury prevention at California University of Pennsylvania.
Since graduation, Carducci volunteered as a strength/conditioning coach for Toronto High School baseball. He implemented a baseball-specific strength and conditioning program for the team. He has also served as a legionnaire for 1st Phorm since June, assisting individuals in reaching personal health/fitness goals. From January to May this year, Carducci was a personal trainer and facility manager intern for Anytime Fitness in Greenville, Pa.
