Austin Sleek

Austin Sleek was named assistant baseball coach in August of 2018. 
 
Sleek comes from Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) member, Bethany College as he served two years as a graduate assistant baseball coach. At Bethany, Sleek took the lead in managing the pitching staff and served as the programs recruiting coordinator. In addition, Sleek served as the head junior varsity coach for the Bison.
 
A 2016 graduate of Seton Hill University, Sleek was apart of some of the most winningest teams in Griffin history. Well in Greensburg, Sleek and the Griffins appeared in four straight (2013-2016) NCAA Division II Regionals totaling 166 wins over the four-year stretch. Seton Hill appeared in the NCAA Division II World Series in 2014.
 
Sleek served as a relief pitcher for the Griffins as he made 45 career appearances for 65.1 innings with an ERA of 3.72. Sleek's 2013 campaign was his finest as the freshman picked up three wins in 17 appearances well compiling a career-best ERA of 2.49 on the year.
 
Sleek served as an assistant baseball coach for the Glen Falls Dragons in the Perfect Collegiate Baseball League for the past two summers.
 
Before arriving at Bethany, Sleek was an instructor at ERA Sports, Inc. in Latrobe, Pa. Sleek led pitching and defense lessons for athletes from ages 7-18.
 
Sleek, a native of Somerset, Pa. anticipates earning his Master of Arts in teaching from Bethany College this December.
