BRADFORD, Pa. (Sept. 5) -- The Thiel College Men's Golf team placed 3rd in a 12-team field at the Pitt Bradford Invitational from Pennhills Club Saturday.
The Tomcats fired a 308 as a team, finishing seven strokes back of Pitt Bradford for first and four back of Pitt Greensburg for second.
Brandon Stubert (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) paced Thiel as he finished tied for fourth in the 58-golfer field with a 74 (+3).
Eli Nicklas (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) was just behind Stubert with a 75 (+4) to tie for sixth.
Joe Grundy (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) tied for 13th with a 78 (+7) while
Braden Baylor (), competing as an individual, tied for 16th with a 79 (+8).
Aiden Rueberger (Hermitage, Pa. /Hickory) and
Jackson Gadsby (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) each tied for 26th by shooting an 81 (+10).
Brett Crawn (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) competed as an individual and fired an 84 (+13) to finish 37th.
Thiel is back in action Monday, Sept. 14 at the Saint Vincent Invitational at Latrobe CC.
